Le Classique Training Plan

Orientation: Bonjour!
Orientation will take place over the course of two days, in a group session setting. We will do two six-hour days with a paid 15 minute break each day. Our new employees will enjoy a complimentary overnight stay in our hotel, during which time they will also get to experience our restaurants, gift shops, spa, and gym. Material covered will focus mostly on local area specifics within the property(about 50%), and the remaining fifty percent will be spent equally between general properly knowledge and overall corporate culture. On the second day of training, our new employees will participate in a
scavenger hunt in order to help them better get to know the property.
Orientation costs:
60% will be given to labor, 30% to delivery and venue, and 10% to materials; each new employee will
receive a name tag, company i.d. and lapel rose pin to welcome them to the company.
Training Specifics
Fine Dining Server at Se Leva
As tasks can vary according to season, day, and guests, we will try to train our servers at various times
during the week, as well as give additional group training sessions throughout the year. Our trainers will
be at department level, as other servers will know the job better than anyone else will. Our training
styles will vary greatly, there will be classroom led, video vs. live, small group interactions, one-on-one
sessions, shadowing, simulation, and classroom sessions. Serving is mainly one-on-one and group guest
interactions. Servers must be prepared for this in any and every way. Servers must also know what to do
in case of emergency and other special situations. Servers will train for five days on the job as
acclimation to a new restaurant can sometimes happen slowly. There will be two follow-up sessions bi-
yearly to check in and assure the job is being properly, safely, and consistently. Observation and
management reports will be done frequently to ensure the job is being done properly.
Nail Technician: Salon/ Amenities
Necessary training will be determined by job and task analysis, and the training will be led by
department level trainers. Training will be conducted by role plays, video vs. live, and shadowing.
Training will last three days. Day one will consist of site familiarization, day two will be technical skills
training, and day three will be role play, shadowing, and supervised solos. One follow-up session will be
conducted to evaluate the effectiveness of the training and how the employee is performing.
Observation and retention will be used to measure the training’s effectiveness.

Sales/Stylists: Bridal Shop
Job and task analysis will be done to determine the necessary style of training, because it is very specific
to location. Training will be done by department level trainers, and will be conducted using role plays,
one-on-one sessions, shadowing, and projects. Training will last one week as it is a nesting period in
order to get the employee familiar with the services. Two follow up sessions will be conducted over
three weeks to determine product knowledge and show improvement. Observation and retention will
determine the training’s effectiveness.
Front Desk: Front Desk Operator
Job and task analysis will be used to determine what kind of training is necessary. Role playing, case
studies and simulation will be led by department level trainers. Training will last three days so
employees can learn how the system works and learn to deal with guest issues. A two day follow up
session will happen six months later to update knowledge on the system. Observation and management
reports will determine the training program’s effectiveness.
